Thanks everyone for the suggestions, heads up, AND constructive criticism (just as important, that's where we find flaws we couldn't see on our own). No trials yet, that is just the first one, and I have to make the other 15. The bolts will be underwater so at a distance of 40mm from the bottom of the plate being cut I hopefully won't get too much slag build up on them. Gambar pemandangan alam yang indah dan mudah digambar meaning.
I can't see it being an issue that a couple of self gripping spanners won't deal with, the bolts can even shear off because I'll use new ones each time. The ends of the bolts are pretty much flush with the bolt head so there shouldn't be any problem with corroded threads. Worst comes to worst a reciprocating saw will make short work of removing them. 400 costs about $60. Weldor2005, I won't be cutting a new topper each time I need a replacement, I'll just make up a bunch of spares in one hit. The ones you see were done in a single batch of 192 pieces, one pierce and one continuous cut, so that bit is no hassle.
It's very very true that replacing a plain flat slat is much easier, and setting this idea of mine up is a bit of a tedious process. I just personally like the benefits I mentioned in the opening post. I like the pointy bits because this means I'll never have a cut running in line with the middle of a slat edge.
Like you say though to each there own and I'm not trying to push this on anyone, just sharing my idea. The possibility certainly exists that I may find reasons with use, why this was not such a good idea. Hey Al, already got the bolts, just bought the cheap ones seeing as I've bought 400 of them LOL. Largemouthlou, you are keeping me in suspense, what are the other possibilities you see, or are they your trade secrets Keith.
Any new idea is always worth looking at and if it seems feasible, giving it a go. When we ran the Plasmacam it had pointed tips and we regularly had lots of tip ups (even tough we're in Australia ) but when we converted it to a water table we also changed it to slats and guess what, very few tip ups.
Probably because the support slats were space closer together more than the pointed design but thought it worth a mention. The other thing we found was the service life of the slats was much longer as flat slats. The pointed slat is definitely a better idea as far as the cut having air space below it rather than the chance of having a cut along it.
Visual micro keygen cracks serial key. To get the best results for Visual Micro Serial Number Key avoid including words such as serial key number code etc, not including those words will bring better results. Visual Micro Serial Numbers. Convert Visual Micro trail version to full software.
I use 3mm wide slats curved slightly to help alleviate this problem but with the tips it doesn't take many strikes to reduce the height of the tips somewhat leaving a very uneven platform. Another thing to consider is material loading.
I have the slats basically running at right angle to the direction of loading so the sheets slide on easily, tips tend to grab. I'm not wishing to sound like I'm poo pooing your idea Keith, just my experiences from running both styles. Thanks again lads. Murray, please poo on my idea as much as you want, I know you are giving me valid points, and you have a lot more cutting experience than me. Like I say I look at it as constructive criticism which I can learn a lot from.
I've had plenty 'bright' ideas in the past that were not based on experience but more just thoughts out of thin air. Once you put them into practice, that's when the 'hmmm' starts and you find maybe it's not as good as first envisioned.
