Click to expand.Bare in mind that recent builds of DVBViewer report BDA Signal Quality, the same as TransEdit, rather than Strength. Also, there's no guarantee that these values are scaled to 100% - they may be based on some other scale rather than a percentage. What is the actual received data like in DVBViewer - any discontinuities being logged in DVBSource?

There appears to be quite a bit of a difference between Tuner 1 and Tuner 2 on 12,207,000 that you posted. It might be interesting to see if swapping the LNB cables around makes the values follow the cable, or whether the worse figure stays with the tuner. I'm interested in one of these to use in Linux, but if they have issues, I think I'll stick with multiple Hauppauge cards. Click to expand. When I tried DVBViewer, which I have the latest version 4.2.1, I did see that signal display at the bottom of the window did look very similar to the figure shown in Transedit which made me wonder whether it really was signal strength like the instructions claimed. When checking it I got very similar numbers such as 76 DVBViewer and 77 Transedit, I probably had each set to different tuners but using the same channel so that might explain the slight difference. Synopsis sunda 6 orang cv.

I don't think DVBViewer and Transedit can use the same tuner or they report tuner in use errors. I have just checked a BBC HD TS that I recorded with Transedit TS analyser and it too shows missing packets which is due to hardware fault or this card revision. Signal Quality is more important than signal strength but it would be nice to have both as DVBDream does show both values for my DVB-T card but not for the Mystique and the BDA driver does report both as you can see from the small log sections I have posted in my previous posts. Click to expand.Where would I find that as I have not seen any program or menu option called DVBSource unless it is an addon which I have not yet seen. There is a DVBSource_3_4 ReadMe.rtf file in the DVBViewer program directory but that doesn't seem relevant to any logging. I did download a few things from the members area but so far have not tried them. It's okay, I have now found it in the filter properties but I don't have the card installed ATM as I took it out to send back.

But as mentioned below I might put it back in to try something to resolve the crashing I was getting as I have had an idea of what could be causing it. Click to expand.12,207,000 was only on Tuner 1, I did not post that frequency on Tuner 2 so comparing will be difficult. The Tuner 2 frequency I posted was 12,246,000 which is a Sky HD channel and the signal quality is a lot higher on that. There is a wide range of signal strengths and qualities in the thousands of lines of report, some are on Eurobird 1 which could be expected to give different and probably lower values.

There are likely to be difference between the two tuners as tuner 1 uses a cable which goes from the dish and is diplexed onto my TV Aerial cable as that is the only way I can get the required leads down to my PC as I could not get 3 leads down the pipe. The cable lengths are pretty much identical in terms of Satellite cable length except for the Tuner 1 Sat cable joins with the TV cable via a diplexer about 1-1.5 meters from the top of the pipe where the cables run down which enters the loft and Tuner 2's cable goes direct from the Sat up about 2 meters of my front wall, into my loft and 5 meters towards the back of my property and then about 5 meters (2x2.45m) down the metal pipe to my PC in the lounge. So tuner 1's cable will get some signal reduction due to the diplexer and insertion loss of the connectors. With my current old Sky Mark 1 minidish, with a replacement Invacom Quad LNB the quality is not really good enough IMO. Aligning has been the big problem as I had only a sky digibox to guide me which is a lot less than ideal only showing signal bars rather than numbers.
